“ALBA IWS’ Eco Impact: E-waste and Carbon Reduction” Event on 21 March
WEEE · PARK in Hong Kong has reached a major milestone—over 5 million pieces of regulated e-waste have been recycled through the facility. To celebrate this achievement, ALBA IWS hosted “Eco Impact: E-waste and Carbon Reduction” on 21 March, bringing together clients, business partners, and community stakeholders to recognize collective progress.
The event welcomed Dr. Samuel Chui, Director of Environmental Protection, as Guest of Honour. Mr. Jakob Lambsdorff, COO of Smart City Vertical at ALBA Group Asia, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting shared environmental goals and the importance of public-private collaboration.
The event also included the presentation of Carbon Reduction Certificates to partner retailers and suppliers who contributed to 88,835 tonnes of CO₂e reduction in 2024. Property management companies and NGOs were also recognized for their efforts in community recycling and environmental education. Finally, a guided tour gave guests a behind-the-scenes look at how we turn e-waste into valuable new resources.
This 5-million milestone is not just a number, but it’s about working together to make a real change.
