Super Typhoon Mangkhut smashed into Hong Kong in September 2018, causing serious damage to Hong Kong, especially to the houses along the coast of Tai O. The majority of the electrical appliance inside the house were flooded and damaged, thereby affecting the residents’ daily life.

With the aim of assisting the residents to resume a normal life, ALBA IWS formed a volunteer team in collaboration with Crossroads Foundation to organize appliance donation and replacement event. Over 30 units of refurbished refrigerators and washing machines have been transported to Tai O.
